M&A Orchards

M&A Orchards, founded in 1996 by Aristeo and Evelia Maldonado, is a remarkable family-owned farm that originated from a dream nurtured during their years as migrant farm workers in Chelan County. The Maldonados, with ten children in tow, embarked on a journey to purchase their own farm after discovering a USDA Farm Service Agency loan opportunity for minority and underserved populations through a local newspaper advertisement.

Without hesitation, they mortgaged their home and relocated from Wenatchee to a 40-acre farm along the Okanogan River in Tonasket, WA. Today, M&A Orchards is managed by three of the founders’ children, overseeing daily operations, while the grandchildren handle the OPMA component. This multi-generational involvement reflects the Maldonado family’s enduring dedication to the success of their farm.
